Current Weight: Week Forty-Three

137.6 (-1.0)

YAY! Down a pound!  WOO HOO!!  Makes me happy! That's a total of 40.4lbs GONE!  I also went to my "last" meeting today; I am officially now an on-line member ONLY.  You see, I am a teacher and over the summer do not make nearly enough money to allow me to keep my membership in the standing that it was, so to save money I have gone to the on-line membership.  If I have not reached my goal by the fall when I go back to teaching, I will change my membership back.  I have also decided to change my WI days to Friday.

Spring Fever Challenge: Wrap Up

Yet another challenge has come and gone.  Here is my review!

My Goals:
1. Lose 8lbs!
I lost 3lbs.  I have really been struggling with losing weight lately, but I am NOT giving up! I am going to make my goal yet!

2. Exercise 3x a week!
Failed miserably at this one.  Oh well.

3. C25k program!
I became a single mom shortly after this challenge began so I had to give this one up.  Maybe some day!

4. Scrapbook more!
I don't think I scrapped a single page.  :(

5. Read more!
I read 2 books during this challenge.  Makes me happy! Reading is good for the soul.

6. Continue cleaning, organizing, and purging in my home!
This is something that is always going to be a work in progress.  I feel like I got a lot accomplished but still have lots more to go!

With one week left, what is your plan?
Just keep plugging along! I know that might now seem like much of a "plan" but its the best I can do right now!

What time of day are you most productive?
Mid-mornings are the best for me! Its when I feel the most awake and motivated!

Fun Question: Are you reading a book right now? If so, share! If not, what was the last good book you read?
I am reading Dead to the World by Charlaine Harris; its book 4 in the Sookie Stackhouse series.   I just finished reading Living Dead Girl by Elizabeth Scott.

16 to 10

I did some shopping for myself and my daughter this afternoon at Old Navy.  I have been in desperate need of new jeans for some time now because of the 40lbs I have lost.  I was unsure of what size to buy, but I tried on 10 thinking it would never fit; LOW and BEHOLD the size 10 jeans FIT!  YAHOO! Here is a comparison from the 16s I once wore to my new 10s!

YAY! Finally after 4 weeks of gains, I am DOWN!  Its about freakin' time!

Spring Fever Challenge: Week 10

Life's Journey with a Smile

My Goals:
1. Lose 8lbs!
2. Exercise 3x a week!
3. C25k program!
4. Scrapbook more!
5. Read more!
6. Continue cleaning, organizing, and purging in my home!

Positive Picture:

Just a reminder for myself that life is too short to not forgive!!!

What have you done this past week to help achieve your goals?
I lost 2lbs this week (G1)!!! I am almost done with Living Dead Girl (G5) and also did more cleaning/purging (G6).

What did you do this past week to make you feel good about yourself?
I tried to stick to program better and it apparently paid off!

With two full weeks left in the challenge, what goals are you making your priority?
I am really going to focus on goal #1! I only have about 10lbs left to loose so its time to get some ass kicking going!  The exercise is also going to have to go hand in hand!

Summer is just around the corner, which season do you find the easiest to accomplish goals?
I think summer is the hardest for me as I am not on my normal work schedule and when I am off routine its hard to stay on track! This summer I am going to work REALLY hard to kick ass!

Fun Question: What do you miss most about being a kid?
The lack of responsibility! LOL!

Up 4 Weeks in a Row

Yep, you read that right. I have gained for 4 weeks in a row! Holy cow!  Yep, life has been nutso lately!  I am finding myself in a place in my life that I never thought I would be in - a single mom to my 3 year old daughter.  It has been a rough year and now that it is 1/2 way over, with all that I am going through, I feel like I am losing my grip on the weight loss that I have been doing so well with.  I have worked so hard to lose this weight and it is slowly creeping back on.  I hate the fact that I am letting it happen.  It makes me so angry knowing that I am not following along program to a "t"; I have not been eating crazy, but have not been tracking and when I don't track I tend to eat a bit more then I should.  Those extra little bits of food are adding up and have caused me to gain 4 weeks in a row - all small gains mind you, but gains none the less!

Today is the first day I can say that I have honestly tracked EVERY THING I have eaten.  It feels great to have done that! Now if I can keep doing that I will do just GREAT!  I also need to get back to exercising regularly!  Becoming a single mom, I have had to take on a second job, so exercise has gone by the way side.  In just over a week I will be back down to one job so I will be able to focus more of my effort back to exercising and getting off the last 10lbs!
